Testing

          First, the steel wire will be tested to hold up to 6 pounds of force. This will be tested by having the wire tied up on a plate. The plate will be measured to make sure its the correct weight.

 

           Second, the servo will be tested to see if it can rotate 360 degrees and able to rotate the spiral bevel gear. This will be tested by having the arduino coded properly so it can then send a signal to the servo to be able to rotate the spiral bevel gear.

 

            Finally, once everything is tested the wire will be attached and the whole system will be tested to be able to see if the prothetic finger will contract and extend as it produces 2 to 6 pounds of force.
